What is Early Years Engineer?

Designed for teaching professionals of children in an Early Years setting. The programme provides a variety of short, small-group, practical STEM activities and high-quality, planned play experiences, with science exploration and investigation at the heart of the learning.
The activities will spark curiosity and dialogue, promoting essential early scientific and technological experiences, which will underpin later learning. Teachers will gain an understanding of how to develop investigations into STEM. It supports emergent science and technology learning, developing ways to plan for transition, through activities that can be shared between Reception and the first year of Primary school.
Teachers will be able to extend children’s learning and enhance STEM enquiry by providing opportunities for children to share their thoughts and ideas, leading to further child-led investigation and learning, extending across the curriculum.
