(Training from Kirklees)
On 25th January, a Primary Engineer team of four, including our new Regional Director for the North, Kevin Burke and two trainers supported by the Events Team delivered another successful training course in the new Process Manufacturing Centre at Kirklees College in Huddersfield.  Twenty nine teachers, from  18 schools across the borough attended and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Engineers from local industry also participated and supported the schools and are now looking forward to working with the teachers in the Primary Schools to assist in the delivery of the projects in the classrooms.

We now look towards upcoming training sessions in Burnley, Oldham and a return to Kirklees College to deliver our Secondary School project, the Secondary Engineer Fluid Power Challenge. The next round of training in East Ayrshire will also be taking place in February.  This will be a huge session, involving three trainers delivering six courses including: Coding for Game Design, Element of Control using the Raspberry Pi and Scratch, Structures and Mechanisms with Basic Electrics and 3D printing.

Planning has also started for the many celebration events that are rapidly approaching and we are really looking  forward to seeing the fruits of all the labours of the pupils and teachers as their creations are pitted against each other in locations all around the UK.
