Okay, so we were pretty confident that we had put in a good case, and Susan said the presentation had gone well, but as we had won this award in 2016, we were not sure that we would win again in 2017. But we did!
The annual Red Rose Awards is where Lancashire business, commerce and industry are celebrated. It aims to be the best possible platform to promote success, and to encourage trade in the county. Since Lancashire Business View launched the Awards in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community in the county, culminating in a sell-out ceremony at the magnificent Empress Ballroom in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
Primary Engineer was up against some really strong competition in the Skills and Training Business category, including some renowned (and very big!) organisations like Training 2000, and Myerscough College. But we have a very impressive performance and growth track record, across all aspects of the business, particularly over the last 12 months, so did feel that we were strong contenders.
Needless to say, the Primary Engineer office is ‘buzzing’ – we are all overjoyed to receive the award, and the recognition it gives of our recent progress. And, of course, we are not resting on our laurels, as we have some fantastic new programmes in development and are starting to work in new regions across the UK. All this points to another busy, challenging, but fun year ahead….and who knows, maybe another award to make it a hat-trick in 2018?
